Video - Pull up a pew on the porch

The sun is sinking in the sky on a warm, early-November afternoon.

There’s that summer feeling in the air, it’s teasing us. Dappled light filters through the billowing leaves of trees that line this particularly ‘ordinary’ suburban street.

The houses look unperturbed by the unusual buzz in the air, as people gather outside a quaint, red brick house, filing in through the pokey front door.

This could be mistaken for a gathering of friends, a casual Sunday BBQ on steroids. But it’s not, and there is nothing ‘ordinary’ about this scene.

As I enter the murmur of chatter can be heard from well within, paired with the subtle strumming of a guitar.

Laughter erupts, followed by a warm “How are you matey?”

Meet Sharni Honor, the young, vibrant Adelaide local at the centre of success story – The Porch Sessions.
